I stopped using IE 11 a few months ago as an update seems to have trashed all my links, not worth reinstalling , there are better browsers available.

Hi all,
I gave an answer to a quick question Bitwise Operators In C++[^]
My answer was accepted by author but some time after it was downvoted by an anonymous.
Did I break a rule or someone is downvoting just for pleasure ?
I already said that anonymous downvoting is harmful.

Yes, but it happens, and we just have to live with it. Seriously, downvoting does you absolutely no harm, and there is no way to stop it happening. This subject has been discussed at length in this forum and it is not going to change.

I don't see a question here. Your answer was downvoted. Before assuming maliciousness think that it may have been a considered judgement. Everything is possible. What policy could there be? Very poor answers can be accepted sometimes against very good answers. It is all part of the mix.

I think I just understood the underlying principle:
I suspect downvoting a solution is used to promote another (or own) solution. May be only upvoting should be allowed for solutions.

That would lead to a situation where the "best" answers are those posted by members who have the most mates / sock-puppets, and the correct answers are drowned out by the rubbish.
People are entitled to express their opinion of your solutions. That opinion will not always be positive. If you can't cope with that, the only winning move is not to play.

Just the same as today, but today they can also downvote other answers.
Today, answering a quick question, which is done on voluntary, is a risky business which can have a negative result on your reputation.

Is it normal that when a quick question is downvoted, reputation point are also removed on answers ?
The question have just been downvoted but not my answer. But my reputation just lost points

No, a question downvote does not downvote the answers.

The URL in a quoted string in the pre tagged code is being reformatted into an active HTML a tag. It is not being done correctly. (I don't think it needs to at all. I can make links explicitly. At least in pre.)
I had to make a hacky code change to keep it from being messed up... 
It doesn't attempt any reformatting inside of code tags.

When you hover the mouse over the "let this through" button in QA moderation, the tooltip that appears spells "post" as "psot":
"This is perfectly acceptable psot. Display the psot"
(And I just noticed the "Trash it" tooltip as well!)

Actually, I kept typing it incorrectly when trying to correct it.
I must have done this before my morning coffee(s), like this morning.

I once misspelled the a word the exact same way 23 times before I got it right, so don't feel bad.
Spell check actually accepted the error. (I was using Word. Spell Check there is horrible)

As regulars in Spam & Abuse Watch probably have noticed, I have started hunting people who put spam in their biography, with the help of a small tool I created.
However, I'm fairly sure I cannot catch them all, because I rely on the Who's Who pages, and there are quite a lot of new pages in a day, so I thought it might be a good idea to have a filter in place to avoid this kind of spam, just like for messages and questions.
My suggestions:
- Only allow people to put something in their biography when they have their email address confirmed. I don't know how many spammers confirm an email address, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's a low amount.
- Have a spam filter for biographies, just like for messages and questions. There are several types of spam in biographies that always come back, so a filter could do a good job here.

The filter idea is a good one - but I'm not sure about the email. I noticed that most (nearly all) of the spammers you have picked up yesterday and today have given an avatar picture (in order to seem more "real" I assume) and if they bother to do that, it's trivial to confirm the email address.
