I have had some very bad experiences with outsourcing code. What we received may have worked in the particular test environment used by the testers, but failed in other (simple) cases - e.g. file paths with spaces in them not found, Unicode <==> MBCS conversion working only for English, or some such.

No, it is flagging something as abuse.
Would you rather not see an abuse-vote also work as a downvote, highlighting the topic in a different color?
If abuse is a downvote, then what is the equivalent for an upvote?

Member Reputation System[^]
for an upvote- A member receives points and Points awarded for voting events are multiplied by a factor dependant on the level of the voter. Points are weighted by voting member's level.

I wouldn't. Only the admins should see abuse votes, and they should take appropriate action.

Why not color-highlight abusive posts?
I say flag them in purple. Let them know it is not a normal downvote. Have various degrees of purple to show the amount of votes. Let me know how bad it is before I open the topic.

What may be bad is if members start hitting Abuse simply because someone else did and it simply becomes a pig-pile.

It is not a downvote, being abusive has some other consequences than simply a decline in rep. I could say that it "should be" a carefull consideration but also know it will not always be.
Makes me wonder; how many abusive votes did I collect by now? Is there any easy way for me to know?

And, if someone is abusive by altering the letters of a word to avoid the filters, but the pronunciation and meaning are the same and they get marked as 'abuse', well, you're the worst thing to ever happen to the lounge! How dare you actually ask them to apply the very simple rules?
Or, right, they didn't use profanity, per se, but really... they did.

a.) Questions will be simply deleted (by a single member), because they deemed unworthy….
Sorry, but English is -in most (?) cases- not the mother tongue of the questioner!
Look at how many times questions were deleted today, simply because you were not correctly written in English ... and yes sometimes also a little bit poor explained…but please…
b.) Not every member is a member for several years. That a question be repeated is probably the normal!
The repetitive and pedantic teachings of some members nerves sometimes more than the spammers!
Do you ask yourself why it really comes now and then to outbursts?
I was once one of the outbursts, but I will do my best in the future to represent Low Rep Members!
And yes you certainly recognize, English is not my native language otherwise my words would be much more direct!

All this can lead to an inbred community. Newbies are afraid from asking a question, and more than this they will never answer one.

And yes, a little disappointing that the moderation blocks this in a way. I think I phrased it (maybe very) critical, but never abusive.
