I have VStudio Community 2015 on a VM.
In the recent past I developed my ASP.NET MVC-based web site and components in Community 2015 and I've written articles here on those projects.

It's been a few weeks and I just opened VStudio 2015 on that machine to create a new MVC project and there is no choice anywhere in the projects to create an MVC project.
I cannot find it.

I googled and found the stackoverflow (below)and have tried all these things and nothing.
I'm uninstalling the Web Developer Tools and I'll install them again and see if it works.

Crazy, Microsoft. Crazy.

Microsoft will add/remove the packages you need, whether you need them or not.
And I mean, remove the ones you need. Add the ones you don't. Laugh | :laugh:

This creates an MVC application as far as I understand it.

New Project
ASP.Net Web App
From the ASP.NET 5 Templates, select
Web Application

The resultant code that is created has folders for Controllers, Models and Views, which is an MVC app as I understand it.

You are expected to set your folders and project name as you go through, of course.

Thanks for the input. I finally got it working.
I think I also forgot that now, the MVC Project doesn't show up until after you select ASP.NET Web App and previously that meant the project was just an ASPX type of web app.
A bit confusing in the VStudio interface.
