I admire Scott Hanselman, and enjoy his prolific blogging; he never seems to run out of curiosity, and I think what he's done in the area of diabetes' management/monitoring software/hardware is very praiseworthy.

In his current blog entry [^] he describe this "DesktopBridgeToUWP" that's going get your current Win Apps into the Windows Store without (supposedly) requiring devs to engage in tantra-mantra sphincter-reversals.

But, I get this little shiver of a frisson reading this, and I can't help imagining the Win Store as bloated as the old PillsBury Flour DoughBoy [^] with the same kind of titter-litter your find on any app-store these days.

I'm sorry about that, Scott, and, I sincerely hope it turns out well for everyone.

p.s. I have registered the domain name "zombiebychoice.com" ... jes' sayin'
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008
