Actually it says "StopCode WHEA" ... after so many re-boots with different settings I need to get re-souled, but turns out killing Skype ... after a system restore ... enabled me to limp here to scream. Anyhow, I know the entities that pulled this off are just making puns at my expense, as well as smirking and laughing, damn their tentacles.

The last System.Restore point I have says it was done at 5am on the 13th. (GMT + 7), but the computer was turned off at that time ... so: it could be the same people who follow me, video-taping everything I do, then slicing the videos into millisecond-duration clips that are cleverly inserted in any video I watch on this computer, often concurrently flashing (I'd estimate for less than a millisecond) certain words, like: "die," "kill," "hate," "Pepsi," set in black type against a white back-ground. If they can get into my house any time night or day, if they can climb walls like a Gecko, and hang upside down, to film me from strange angles, I am sure they could start my computer and have their perverse ways with it. Perhaps the only clear sign of my sanity I have left is that I can see what they doing, although, of course, their motivations, origins, ultimate purposes, etc., are opaque (which may be a blessing).

Note that I am too polite to describe here the various perverted distortions used in these subliminal video clips where my redacted is seen redacted with redacted.

Getting back to Win 10 fail: the symptoms are:

1. I get to the desktop; after about 30 seconds the mouse freezes, the keyboard doesn't respond. Nothing to do but reboot. This suggest to me a problem loading some dll.

1.a. whether 'tis a fluke that this one time (enabling to log in at present) I was able to get online, by killing Skype, or whether that's just an accident ... to be seen.

2. No sign of over-heating, no strange beeps.

Of course, I'll be happy to hear your story of violation and ruin; after all, suffering shared is suffering diluted.

cheers, Bill
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008

Straw Poll

Were you affected by the geomagnetic storms this past weekend?
Communication disruptions, electrified pipes, random unexplained blue-screens in Windows - the list of effects is terrifying.
