I always loved chess, and lately got some time to check the most powerful engines out-there...
And now I following TCEC...Those engines are computing beast with frightening abilities, even on average hardware...
But there is nothing entertaining about the games...
Very disappointing...

That's the trouble with games on computers.
They guys developing them get all excited about "possibilities", and forget what games are for -- i.e. to have fun.
It's like with 3rd-person shooters and racing games: it's ten times harder to aim & shoot a gun or drive a car in the games than it is to do either in real life.
And flight sims are made a lot more difficult because there isn't room on a monitor for a complete cockpit, so it's all crammed in, and the (mainly shortcut-key) controls not only have to be memorised on top of the actual aviation stuff, but they are completely disconnected from the sim controls on the screen.
Game developers never seem to consider that if they were to take the differences from reality into account (e.g. simplify everything so that it's not so crowded, and remove some of the things that Just Don't Work in a sim, so that it's not so ridiculously complicated), that they might actually be able to make an enjoyable game.
I'm not a fan of chess, but I sympathise with your discontent.
The trouble is that everyone will buy your chess sim and be too afraid to say that they don't like it, so the devs (and the critics) will believe that they've done a perfect job, and further chess sims will follow their example.

You can rent an hour or two, including a real flight instructor. I have already been sitting on the left seat and now want another flight. It's a real UH-1 Huey cockpit and was previously used to train military pilots, but the Hueys are slowly retired.

I just had a brief exchange of mails with the psychos. They offer appointments at the weekend and the evening. At +25% on the price. I don't want to look what they want when I choose some late time during the weekend. I just wanted to know from their boss wether they were running a service for housewives, jobless and retired.
for the +25% alone I can go watch a movie or sit in a pub, who don't ask any special weekend or evening fees.
