A real poking your screen is no match for a real keyboard.
And a fat finger instead of a mouse cursor for selecting files (especially with that control key allowing you to pick'n'choose.
Bare in mind, if you must, that I programmed for POS/Touch Screen in the past. At some point you (or someone) needs to test opus minor - so someone needs to use it on a touch screen - but that's not a development box. No is still a fine answer.

I am not at all impressed with touch screen, specially for dev environment. But, I am thinking(or dreaming of) some sort of voice recognition technology in my dev environment. lol.

With the stream of curses exiting my mouth while working, I'd be forced to keep it disabled. Although it would be interesting to see how a computer would cope with the obvious anatomical deficits to perform the acts I usually suggest it to do.

Just found a doozie in a very old (3rd party) database - a column that points at either one table or another.
On discovering this my voice generated code looked something like the following ...
RDBMS 1-01 &£%^£$%£^£^*"&"^&*^&!!! The R stands [for] £^$<*(W& relational, you @£$%$%£$£ muppets! I've met hamsters who can understand [this] @£$%! No, scratch that! I've met dead hamsters who can understand [this] @£$%! It's NOT &£*£*£*"!! rocket science! You wouldn't have [this] @&^$%$^ problem IF you'd just spent five @~%£$£$£% minutes finding out what a ^&£*£%^£&& FOREIGN KEY is FOR you inept %&££%£%!
... and had to be rewritten with a keyboard.

Had to laugh, one of my pet hates is underscores (the other is all caps) and I have overall design rights on a new development to be done by a bunch of Java developers. First draft of the database structure was all caps and underscores, right out of the 1980s.
The developer is an ex SAP guy. It took 3 tries before he got the idea that I was not going to allow that sort of crap in the database.

At least you can have a fine discussion with your monitor whilst it snickers back and keeps trying to explain that voice recognition hardly works for a telephone or word prostitution.
And, of course, coordinating that foot-pedal, like a dictation clerk, so that the damn thing doesn't type every word elephanting word I say

For gaming, I use a program called Voice Attack. It has a pretty good scripting capability, so you can combine multiple key presses into one voice command. It can press any key, as well as mouse buttons and joystick controls.
I've thought about voicing some of the common things I use, but haven't taken the time.

My screen is big and far out of range for anyone to touch it...
I use keyboard for the 90% of my input and mouse only for 10% - and old habit me think, so there is no much room for touch, not to mention the huge effort need to raise my hand to do things I can without...

You are too efficient. You need to be less so because it makes the rest of us look bad. Think of how much more I could code if I could remember all the keyboard commands, but I keep forgetting, or never knew in the first place. Maybe we should take away your keyboard and you will have to use the onscreen keyboard. That should slow you down a lot.

on the test machine I do - our software has touchscreens as the only interface since 1996.
I hate fingerprints on screen and I'm not very precise with both touch and mouse, keyboard is my main navigation system.

... I have ever had was trying to teach a child some coding and pointing out features on the screen and the finger gets too close and activates the touch feature.
When it is a 3d hologram and I can reach in and grab an object then I'll consider touch! I like minority report.
