I often wonder how the members here on codeproject even get a job... when they can't even do basic debugging.

Eat a dick Dave. Not my code, not employed to program and not about to debug someone else's f***up. Was looking to see if it was a known issue that I couldn't find anything on.

Profanity is not necessary. I am just trying to help. All systems administration certifications whether it be LPIC, RHCE, VCP6-DCV or even MCSE would require that you learn some operating system debugging skills. You would be more valuable to both your customer and employer with debugging skills.
The 0xc0000005 error code is an access violation. It could be caused by an anti-virus or other third party products installed on the operating system. The 'faulting module' being MSVCR80.DLL is unusual as this is the C runtime that millions of applications use. A complete call stack would be much more useful... the module calling into the C runtime is likely the cause... but you would need the complete call stack to see the caller.
Now we have gone full circle... use a debugger... takes literally less than 5 minutes to find the exact cause.

Hi All,
All ads on TV seem to spouting 'Black Friday Sale' (which lasts a week?) but was this a common thing in the years pre-Amazon. It has only become a thing since Amazon named it black Friday.
According to uncle Google & Wiki-wotsit it was the first day that shops in the US ran on a consistant profit rather than in the red. So why are we now celebrating it?

The lure of filthy lucre, I'm afraid. 
It's another excuse to unload a pile of unsold tat on unsuspecting customers by offering loss leaders that run out quickly and hoping you pick up a pile of junk at the same time, I think. Certainly the Amazon ads I've been getting emailed to me for a week or so would bear that out.

Just had another one: "Dash buttons". You stick them on the wall, or washing machine and when you run out of something you press the button, it connects to your WiFi and emails you to remind you to buy it.
Or, if you have kids, it gets pressed a million times a day just to annoy you.

Well, pre-Amazon I remember pre-Christmas sales, just not being called Black Friday...
Also thos dash buttons I didn't really pay much attention to but presumed it added the item to your Amazon order, always seemed a bad idea with Kids (or my Friends)...
