Did it ever go away? It still seems to come pre-installed on most Windows consumer devices - and you still have to download the "removal tool" to properly uninstall it after you've used the uninstaller.

That's why I prefer to download the drivers of the computer and wipe it, reinstalling from the beginning. 90% of the pre installed things in EOM-Computers is crap.
