0. go for a long walk, preferably in nature, and pay attention to your breath; get into a stride where you experience your breath and movement in a rhythm.
1. if what's happening with you doesn't change in a few days, see a doctor and be sure and discuss your sleep patterns, diet, your exercise habits, caffeine intake, medications you are on (or have recently stopped taking), as well as "where it hurts."
The originator of the modern biological/psychological concept of stress, Hans Selye, proposed two types of stress: 'distress' ... what we usually think of when we hear the word; and 'eustress' ... an optimal, energizing, positive force associated with higher levels of physical and mental functioning.
Selye pointed out that the effects of both are cumulative, and the body's reaction on a chemical and physical level is similar in both. Perhaps there is some wisdom in those old sayings like: "too much on your plate," "too much of a good thing" ?
Long-term, if you are determined to run your brain on rocket-fuel, and want to minimize your "down time," you might look into a science-based mental practice like "mindfulness: [^].

The first time, it just plain stopped working. Uninstall. Re-install.
This time, the splash screen would come up, the computer would beep, and the splash screen would vanish.

This happened after adding the Python support "workflow." Then again, I was also trying (unsuccessfully) to install IIS 8 Express, which involved taking a chainsaw to Programs and Features and various services, I'm surprised I didn't do more damage.
Funny that (not really) -- IIS 8 Express finally installed (it claimed I was running a new version of "IIS 8", and P&F claimed I had IIS 10 installed, but IIS's about said "7.5") so I nuked various things, IIS 8 installed finally, but the about box still stays 7.5.
Now I know why people like *nix dev for websites. IIS just seems like such a piece of crap. Cute graphics, front end gives you the feeling that it's a professional app, but it's a confusing, unwieldy bastard child.
Still, I intend to master it. (That's doesn't mean learn it. I mean make it subservient to my wishes.)
Why do I want IIS 8, you ask? Because I'm playing around with Let's Encrypt (free SSL certs) and I want to have multiple websites come in on the same IP, because I want to host some simple stuff from home rather than paying Amazon, and starting with IIS 8, SNI is supported, which is one of those "oh crap, certificate handshaking is done with the IP, not the domain, WTF do we do now???" solutions that got added as an afterthought (not IIS' fault in this case.)
I smell a couple articles in the future. Assuming I can get all this silliness to work. BTW, if you're looking for a good cert generator for Let's Encrypt, use Frank Hommers' fork of acme.net, as it actually compiles and works under VS2017. The thing it was forked from has some other project file format and wouldn't build and I wasn't going to figure out why.
That was interesting, as I came across the original acme.net and the author never made it .csproj compatible, so I decided to look at the forks, and what-do-you-know? Kudo's to GitHub for how forks are visible from the main project.

Yesterday, email from engineer: "workstation acted funny when I booted up, message from AV, blah, blah".
Immediately followed by email from boss: "Word document on the file server is corrupt".
View with alarm. Isolate, scan, scan. Find nothing. Bury dead chicken in the back yard. Finally mounted a backup. Those files were also corrupt in that backup (2016). Got to mount a backup from 2015.
I have to stop reading about all this ransomeware stuff.
Turns out it was only 2 files (so far), dated 2015.
Return to arguing with Excel Addin and Sharepoint. Too bad I always lose.
<sigh>

SWMBO asked for a database with forms for keeping track of some of her stuff. Nothing she could find quite fit what she needed, so she asked if I could do something like that. Her needs are really simple -- a few text entry fields and an attached image.
What I'm looking for is some sort of personal database that allows me to design the data entry and access forms. She needs it on her iPhone, but I'm not going to be able to use hers to do development, and I'm not going to buy an iDevice just to make it happen, so I'm looking for one I can do the authoring from Android, Windows, or even Linux, and then deploy it to her iPhone. I looked, but couldn't find anything crossplatform like that. Anybody know of such a beast?
We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.

When the others entice you with Xamarin. Don't believe it.
When they say, "All you gotta do is...". That is your cue to start running and don't look back.
You could maybe do this as a web app. If you have a site and you host it there, it is your best bet.

Well, the internet works California (I think).
And if it must be a boot-camp, you could work outdoors.
But W3Schools gives the bootstrap, and the rest would be up to you. Whatever you do, that would be true, anyway.

That, however, wasn't my point. I was giving you what I felt to be help.
It's what I did.
It is what they pay me for at this time, and half of the company runs on it, and it's still increasing.
Now if you absolutely wanted a live teacher, and had expressed that in your first reply, I'd have understood that.
My answer was pointing you in a direction of something that accomplished all of your tasks but didn't supply face-time with an instructor.

Some people can only learn with a live person to force ideas down their throat (not implying Kevin is one). This is one of my major gripes with college. All it teaches you is to be force-fed and regurgitate that onto tests which is the antithesis of the most important traits for software development in my opinion - problem-solving and critical-thinking.

Maybe the wrong schools and the wrong times?
Most notably, in graduate school, we all had to write a research proposal that was completely unrelated to what we were doing. And both that, and later on, the thesis oral exam, would include challenge questions from the faculty. Sometimes they were wrong and knew it: would you stand up on your own two legs and argue back? Sometime, in fact, they were even wrong. Your turn to teach them. Actually, ditto for each students research presentation - it was actually something they were looking for.
On the other hand, my experiences in psych 101/102 fully agree with your case. That, however, isn't science, so I don't count it for anything.
Problem solving and critical thinking: The former? I think that's heavily an inborn ability, for a good problem solver has imagination; the latter, a sign of confidence that what you heard/read isn't to be taken without a thought.
