I think there is no correct answer to such questions. It's more about how you react and, if needed, an easy way to get rid of you. You simply 'failed' at that question. Last time I had that kind of stuff, they asked me what kind of animal I would like to be. Just what Buddha also asked me last tome around and I still did not get to be a Bonobo.

I know nothing at all about Xamarin Forms....This isn't a programming question. It'a plea for guidance & direction.
Anyone know of any decent tutorials on Xamarin Forms VS2017? I've been searching/googling and all I can find is Xamarin Forms VS2015, which of course is entirely different (for the life of me I can't understand why). The templates and generated projects/code for 2015 are totally different than that of 2017 
Just now I created a Xamarin Forms VS2017 solution. It generates the projects. I do a build and get errors for various types, both build and deployment. It appears to me that it is either not setup/configured correctly, or it's just plain buggy.
I've tried this a few tims over the years with 2015 and now 2017, and I keep seeing the same thing. I follow a Microsoft/Linked In/Pluralsight tutorial and as soon as I try to build/run I get many different types of errors.
I can't seem to get started. What am I doing wrong? how do I get going on this?

Multiple times over the last few years and versions of VS. My impression is that Xamarin Forms in VS isn't easily set up and their doesn't seem to be much good documentation on it

welcome to microsoft rapid craptastic deployment,
they would fix all of the problems, but there's so many useful and important new features much bloat they want to incluse first.
they will promise vs 2019 will fix all of the problems...
but even then don't hold your breath because mostly they pretend there aren't any problems that matter for use in their suggested manner (even when many of their own examples fail).
