Now jokes apart... can't you delete your own posts? If I recall it correctly, there is the option to delete propietary content (as long as there is not other answers to you post).
If you notice you have posted it in the wrong place, use "edit", copy all the content, delete the message, hit the correct "reply" where it should go, paste the content, publish.

I know that particular route - I was just making a suggestion.
Think of it like moving a file between folders.
You could, instead, copy it and then delete the original - but it's nicer to do the move in a single step.

I'll add it to the TODO, but I'd have to be honest and say it's way, way down the list.
At a database level it's trivial. At a UI level it's more involved given our current UI layer.

Really - as there's a work-around - it certainly isn't a priority (unless you have a eureka moment and realize it has beneficial side effects).

Yep, just fixed that myself.
I always need to fix my blogs once they are pulled to CP.
Usually not much, but tags and code (for which I now use GitHub Gists) and such.
My previous blog was linked to Amazon AWS even though it's about Azure and I'm not even mentioning AWS

...collapse the Lounge forum so you only see the initial post of each item?
It would be nice if a user could do that then you could scan down through more unique posts per page.

Hi,
I've been following "C" and "C++" tags here on codeproject. But recently the IoT contests are creating a lot of noise. Have you considered allowing the tags to use boolean operators?
Something like:
Tags: C++, C, VisualC++,!Arduino
Or does it already support this? Also, how do I filter out the 'entered a contest' entries?

At the moment, there is only the category of "best" available to vote in the monthly competition.
Is that a problem? or are there so few items this month, that only "best" have competition?
By the way... I don't remember "best" being a category in previous months.

I've also got a similar question as Nelek: I've contributed an article: Android Programming By An Example: Creating An Airport Schedule Simulator Application[^] to CodeProject Aug 2, 2018, and I'm just wondering for my own interest why this article is not taking a part in monthly competition being held. Also, I'd so much appreciate if someone would tell me if this article will be included in August 2018 articles monthly competition, next month  ?

Particular articles taking part in competition are selected by the background algorithms, there is no particular guarantee that a new published article will get selected to the competition.
You are asking, why your article is not there.
I am asking where are the other categories.

The current competition is for July articles and your article was published in August. It's difficult to say whether or not your article will be included in the August competition, because it depends on what other articles are submitted and how high their rank is. But you're off to a great start.

We should probably expand the category display on the home page so it doesn't just say "Best" (because it was designed to accommodate shorter categories like C++), but yes, we've opted to change the monthly competitions to a single best-of-the-month category for a number of reasons. As you mentioned there aren't enough items to fill every category. Mobile, Database, C++, even C# occasionally had trouble filling up with ten, high ranking articles. Additionally, we wanted to expand it to more forward looking topics like AI, IoT, blockchain, etc. but there aren't enough articles to support those categories either. Finally, because each competition is tag based, which can lead to problems like some articles getting missed or placed in two categories. This will fix a lot of those issues and still give us an opportunity to award excellence.

I know what you mean, but ... it's gonna be difficult to compare a blockchain article with an SQL, with a "beginners guide to debugging", and say "this is the better one". OK, we can vote for more than one article, I can't help feeling it's going to leave some very worthy articles out of the prizes because the majority aren't interested in the subject (yet).

If I edit a Q&A item and I save the changes, I go back to the Page of the question and see the changes.
If I click on "cancel" it doesn't bring me back to the page of the question discarding the changes, it brings me back to the homepage "https://www.codeproject.com/"
Cancelling the edition of a forum message works fine though, it returns back to the forum page
