I am itching to ditch my MacBook Pro and get a surface device and yet Microsoft still aren’t providing USB-C support.
The new devices look nice but seriously guys: the world is moving on. What a wasted opportunity.

Seriously, no USB-C? I thought that would be a minimum improvement.
After an initially impressive effort, they seem to have lost all momentum in advancing the capabilities of these devices...sad to see.

I totally agree. I would have bought one already if
1. They had USB-C. I have a monitor that doesn't accept anything but USB-C and now that I'm used to plugging in a single cable for power, USB and display, there's not much desire to go backwards
2. They fix that awful hinge (At least on the Surface book). A good device made ham-fisted.
Well, I guess I just cross my fingers and see what Apple has in store in a couple of weeks. Maybe that Macbook Air replacement[^] will do it - though they are going to need to avoid that awful keyboard they are using on the new MacBooks and the woeful USB-C display drivers before I lay down more cash.

The irony is that the MS Lumina 950XL WP which I bought to tide me over to the Surface Phone (good luck with that, eh?) has a USB-C port.

Seems every year, there is a news report about MS dropping the Surface line. Given that, I wouldn't buy one as who knows how long it will be really in support.

Except I'd personally be happy for them to throw it all away because they didn't include USB-C in their latest and I cannot let such a lame decision go. Where's the vision, guys? Where's the 1/2 oz of courage?

I found it interesting, looking through the examples, that the Perl/Ruby example is substantially longer than the other examples. And then there is a Ruby (Simple Version) which is almost the shortest one on there.
I vote we get rid of all languages except for .Net. Let's simplify things.

I once took a class and learned how to speak in smoke signs. I thought I aced the class but when it came time for a final project, let's just say that there are some tribes that no longer speak to each other now.

Ya, I forgot the connection. Tried it again, several times.
What's weird is it will sometimes connect for a minute and then disconnect. Then reconnecting it says the password is not right, although I know it is.
Very strange.

connect then disconnect usually indicates the security settings don't like each other (ssl, tls...), sometimes the "default" or first "auto" option changes in updates.
I mean jus saying possibly is an apple update thing but OTOH haven't heard of many other apple users having this problem.

My wife had the same problem on her (older gen) iPhone.
She finally had to do a complete shut-down (not restart) and then power back up.
When she did, the wifi started working again.
Come on, Apple! You're better than this...aren't you?

I've only had the iPhone for about 6 months. And I don't see why people like the iPhone. It is NOT very intuitive. And Siri voice recognition is not very good.
