Well, if you don't want your e-mail address to be stolen, keep it in a front trouser pocket, and if you're walking through a dodgy area, keep your hand in your pocket.
I got that advice from a genuine, nicked several times, pickpocket, and I give it today, because there is nothing whatsoever to be gained from repeating the same bloody things over and over again about e-mail security.
Now everyone just go off and check on the haveibeenpwned site, then change your e-mail password regardless.

Are we all addicted to the Internet? Maybe. The latest Digital 2019 report, from Hootsuite and We Are Social, shows we’re spending on average 6 hours and 42 minutes online each day. Half of that is spent on mobile devices. Who you calling crazy?

Number abuse police here:
Of that that time, how much because of work tools are internet based.
If email use maintained between change from desktop email client to web client, does that increase the internet usage.
People switching over from Microsoft Word desktop to web (google or Microsoft word web version)
Then the many other applications which are Web site based applications which 10 years ago would have been desktop installs.
"Ah, but, half of the time is on mobile." : And how is that been classified, by screen size or application type. Again web version applications of products running on tablets might be classified as mobile. I got no issue people writing their next novel on an android 10" tablet (hopefully with a physical keyboard) using google docs, but if that traffic information being picked up and interpreted as internet use, well, no.
Internet use on its' own is not bad. Quality of use is important, like some many other things to rant about.

Microsoft has finally realized that many average users have no idea what a KB and its numerical ID are and don't know what to do when they appear in a Windows 10 setup error notification. They're changing KB to WTF?

There is nothing to understand! People who "have no idea" how numbered identifiers work do not exist (if they don't have social security numbers, and they don't live in houses that have numbers, then that's pretty much not existing).
Here's everything that even the casual user needs to know:
The KB things are what you use to identify an update, when you contact ms to tell them that the update has killed your computer.
It looks more like ms is looking for an excuse to do the same as they did with their "friendly dates" (using them instead of timestamps), by using identifiers that are transiently understandable for casual computer users, but totally useless for professionals.
Some idiot who knows nothing about computer users is obviously Hell-bent on making a name for himself.

Older developers, particularly those in the 38-53 and the 54-72 age brackets, overwhelmingly tended to create games as their first programming project. Those currently aged 21 and under, however, tended to build calculators as their first programming projects. Where's the fun in that?

When I saw some other news article mention the same thing, I thought maybe there is a missed understanding of first program.
Calculator might be the first "traditional" program they learned, but not realising that Minecraft and many other games have obscured programming mechanisms.
Compare that with atari/commador (before my time so I might have a skewed perception here) that had pre packaged software, but also books which require you to write in the game before you can play it, hence becomes your first program you wrote, although maybe 95% copied with your tweaks.
