Last April, Microsoft open sourced the original File Manager that shipped with Windows 3.0, allowing users to make changes and if they want, compile it for use on Windows 10. Now, the firm is making it easier to run the legacy app, as it's offering the Windows 3.0 File Manager through the Microsoft Store as a UWP app. Because... Because... Nope, can't think of why.

OK, I'm sold. I'd rather suffer the file names than the effluent interface. It'll become the only UWP app on my machines (discounting the ones I can't uninstall).
Although where they get off labelling a win 3 app as UWP, I don't know.

Best known for its use in Go and Swift, C# proposal #1398 seeks to add defer statements. If you are not familiar with the concept, it can be summarized as a finally block appearing at the beginning of some code instead of the end. I could leave this feature for later

Just because they implement a new feature doesn't mean you have to use it. I wish they'd quit putzing around with the language and make Visual Studio more reliable. Furthermore, Visual Studio could really use a freshening up of its icons..

Isn't it remarkable that the benefits of not using fb are clearly observed, defined, and expressed, but the only benefit given for using it is:

So, if I've got this right, the only benefit of using fb is an imaginary amount of money, which, if you live in a world of unicorns and flying pigs, you can pretend pretend is real money, and further imagine what effect it would have on the world if it were real money, not imaginary money in a world that doesn't exist.
Which essentially proves that, to use fb, you have to be out of your bleeding mind.

Is it just me, or is it bleeding obvious that such a machine should:
0. Reject update requests if the vehicle is in use?
1. Allow users to get out of the car after having made an update request (since you presumably can make such requests from the interior controls)?
Sorry, but if the guys working on them are making mistakes that are at that level of moronic, you won't catch me alive near one of those cars.
But you'd possibly find me there dead, because of some "minor design flaw" that makes them decide to run into groups of people at high speed.

Coding is not done to "have a conversation", it is a formulated answer to a problem, that has been reduced to steps, and is achieved by issuing commands to a central processing unit.
So, it will remain a list of commands, in whatever form.
