Almost 20 years ago, an email titled "I LOVE YOU" had a great impact worldwide.
With such great new dynamic emails, the next wave is about to start soon.

So, "cloud computing" is now called "serverless"?
Seems to me they're missing the obvious point - there's a server somewhere, so pendantically speaking, it's NOT serverless. It's just that you now have no direct control or input over how it's configured, secured, used, or shared. How in the actual f*ck is that a good thing?

So we're in the process of moving our apps to "the cloud" a serverless environment, including development of said apps. For the cited article, this fills me with trepidation:

What? Use ASP.Net Core you say? Well, we can't, because our apps are all ASP.Net Web Forms, and we're still using VS2015 because VS2017 hasn't been added to the "approved software list", and we can't use the latest .Net Core because you need VS2019, and well, that's not on the "approved software list" either.
There is no amount of "hope and pray" that will deviate us from the inevitable continuation of our death march down the path of ruin, failure, and decay.

There is a nice guy sitting next door and swearing constantly in French... He was called in to examine the possible adaptation of our main application to Azure...
If you didn't designed your application from the first step to run on cloud/serverless platform you are in big trouble... Actually such move is actually rewriting the application...

Swift 5 is a major milestone in the evolution of the language. Thanks to ABI stability, the Swift runtime is now included in current and future versions of Apple’s platform operating systems: macOS, iOS, tvOS and watchOS. That was fast (I didn't even have time to not look at version 4)

By 2021, so you may still have to spring forward and fall back at least twice more, depending on when your country stops doing it.

The solution is for CP to simply ignore the EU. That someone in the EU can access a web site residing outside the EU doesn't give the EU legal authority over that web site.

True, but the EU can block said website. We have a lot of members in the EU. It would be a shame if they couldn't access the site any longer. I know a VPN could be used; however, it's only a matter of time before they become illegal (in the EU). How else would the EU enforce such policies?
