Keeping data local isn't protectionism in the economical sense; it is being reasonable in the security-sense.

Ransomware-attacks, like the one in Lake City[^] (Florida) prove how vulnerable most of the IT-infrastructure is.

Google's China-filter also shows how sharing of data has its political limits. The thing those countries will agree upon is sharing face-recognition data and financial transactions from the masses Thumbs Up | :thumbsup:
