I met The great OP when I was in high school. My English teacher knew him and arrange for him to come a play for our class. I was sitting less than 10’ from him as he amazed and talked to us. It wasn’t until years later that I came to realize what a gift that was.

My story is 'sort of' meeting Dizzy Gillespie - he came to play at McGill while I was there - after he spoke to some of the music students, I just happened to be standing in the lobby - beside a fellow student of the feminine persuasion. Diz's smile lit up as he walked over and chatted her up. Not sure he even noticed me... but hey...

I just joined the site. My first post... Blown away as I was browsing through the site and saw the title of this post. its beyond awesome to know that I'm not the only one aware of how perfectly Jazz and Coding mix!.... Craaaaazy, awesome video!!! Thanks for sharing Never met OP - but did meet Jimmy Haslip, of the YellowJackets, at Blues Alley ( ... but of course, thats another story - for another time ...). Glad I joined codeproject! Nice.
