When I try to post a question, I get an internal server error.
The preview for the question shows it formatted correctly. I am using Chrome on Windows 10.
This appears to be an ongoing issue (either at my end or CP) because I got the same problem about ten days ago.
Thank you to anyone taking the time to read my posts.

Looking into this. I might just be an intermittent database issue due to load caused by crawlers, but I'll try a eliminate the problem.

I had the same problem this morning:
- typed a Solution
- pressed submit and waited
- after a couple of seconds the error message appeared and the solution was still in 'raw' mode
- pressed browser refresh and the solution appeared as posted.

I use boilerplate a lot, and have a "standard message" telling people that what they have submitted as an article isn't up to snuff. It includes two pre-prepared links to an article and a tip here:
Please, look at some of the existing articles here to get an idea of the standard we expect.

We moderators aren't here to make your life difficult, or to be nasty - quite the reverse, we protect the site from not-ready articles, and authors from the derision and downvotes that poorer articles can receive. And to be a moderator, you have to write articles, so we know what it feels like when you slave away on something and Joe Moron from Stupidity High School, Kansas finds out it's not what he needs to hand in as his homework ... :laugh:
If we let this though as it stands, it would - at best - be ignored, and more likely downvoted into oblivion.
I'm sure you have put a lot of effort into getting the code right, but articles aren't just about the code: the words are what matters! But when I paste it into a article message: Remember[^]
It gets the href stuff removed:

This has worked for years and suddenly stopped in the last few days.

Nope, "As is" is the option I select.
And a quick check says it's working again.
There's something going rather flaky here ... oh well, if we can;t reproduce it, it can't be fixed...

I never turn them on. Or off, come to that. And they are certainly set to "off" at the moment.
Is it possible it's related to the "random filter preference" or "random page view preferences" problems that were there at a similar time IIRC?

When submitting a QA solution, I get:

Same thing happened once using Chrome today.

Was that around midday your time? I can see there was a single database timeout that would have sent that error, but it seems the retry system kicked in without telling the error system not to bother complaining.
