a line with 3 backticks and an optional language specifier such as cs

playing around with markdown on a different site, I think the problem is that your implementation doesn't fail hard enough. 
With CommonMark this:

would render equivalent to: t e s t which is blatantly wrong enough to say to me "you did it wrong" not "I think I found a bug".

The new response filter system in survey results seems really useful, but when filtering based on an answer, shouldn't the numbers also change to correlate the filter. At the moment if I filter using a item which has 2 answers, I still see numbers like 4 or 5 in other answers. I would have thought that 2 would be the maximum in this situation.

We're actually going to remove that since it's not adding much at this point. It will show you results of votes that also voted the filter you selected.
So imagine there are 2 questions: you filter on an answer on question 1 and it shows that answer, plus the question 2 answers where the answer in that voting event was also the answer you're filtering on in question 1.
For a multiple choice question, filtering by an answer will show you results for those whose answers included that answer, plus whatever other choices they made in that answer.

Yes, that's my point. If I'm filtering using an answer that has two votes, I'd imagine that two is the maximum also for other answers when the filter is applied. However, at the moment the count on other answers can be larger than the count on the filtering answer. Perhaps I'm missing something here 
Consider the following example. The filter is using an answer with 8 votes. However the votes on all other answers seem the show the total amounts, not the amounts based on the filter.

The Privileges tab under Professional Profile says that various types of members with silver status are allowed to edit questions and answers in Q&A forums. Since you can always edit your own posts, I assume that this means editing other people's posts. I've never done it but have seen others do it, particularly to improve questions.

Questions are ok for me to help e.g. for formatting issues. But Answers... ? If I answer, it should be _my_ answer an no others have to modify it, I think.

As the answers were always properly formated...
Another reason for me to click on edit (and note that I am saying "click on edit" not "editing") someone else's post is to check for hidden links or other staff related to moderation.

It is useful if you see an answer that would be clearer with proper formatting, or even to correct serious typos. There are four different privilege settings for Q&A which you can check on your profile page.

But only in case I get informed that somebody modified my answer. And so far -at least for me- this does not work usually. I did not get messages from Q/A about years.

Stuff about setting? "Settings", at least for this cpian, have never worked. Settings I lump into the same category as Search. If you use it for a purpose don't expect it to come through.

I'd like to qualify the above addendum because after thinking for a minute about how sour it sounded just after I hit the post, I regret the attitude.
You know what Search at CP is really good for? Finding things YOU HAVE posted. And if I'm not mistaken, it'll bring up a list of them as long as your arm as the case might be.
So thank-you CP for the wonderful Search facility.

I guess I was not clear, and my message implied that you can change them. In fact these settings are controlled by CodeProject based on our contributions to the site, and are more properly privileges or permissions.
