You added new icon to the Reactions - and my suggestion wasn't amongst them. Do me of the variations on the 'happy face' really provide a more telling commentary? A little face with it's tongue stuck out rather than suggesting the comment was worthy of a good hard flush?

2: On the menu at the left, click on "My Settings".
3: Click on the "Privacy" tab on the right of the light yellow shaded bar.
4: Check the box beside "Forget me Forever"
5: Click on "Save My Settings" at the bottom.

I guess I'm just really good at making friends ! There were a few little -2 hits in the last couple of weeks but no big deal - but sometimes, as in this web snippet, it's a bit puzzling. Two of the other three answers also said, essentially, do your own homework and were not similarly embellished.
Well, I guess it will take just a bit longer to catch up to OG.
Anyone else enjoying this "visitor" or do I get to feel really special ?

Thanks - just curious. Fortunately, I don't plan on winning anything with points (there are prizes, right?). They're sort of bit of a place keeper to see if anyone even notices what one posts.
I think I'll take this genius' remarks as a compliment to something, somewhere, that really got to their core. It really is sort of a compliment !
Now, on with living: I have to work on the options (replies) for that screen capture thing I posted that will work in the Win7/.NET 4.7.0/VS2015 world in which I need to make it happen.

But I'd also like to use this opportunity to remind everyone not to suggest to users that they are submitting their homework/homework questions. Sometimes it turns out to be much older users who are not students, and then using CodeProject becomes a bad experience for them.

OK - let's (for the moment) accept your preposition that it might not be homework.
So often, however, the initial problem is specified in prose that surely seem like a class assignment. How might this be addressed? In admittedly either/or terms, how do we handle such posts in the weighing of the probability of it being an old timer trying to learn new tricks vs. an apprentice leach?
The closest to resolution that comes to mind is prefacing with "this seems like it might be a homework question".
Surely we don't want to punish the guilty - in what seems ofttimes like a barrel of bad apples, there may yet be some yet unspoiled.

OriginalGriff and I have talked about this before. His answer is pretty good:
"We are more than willing to help those that are stuck: but that doesn't mean that we are here to do it all for you! We can't do all the work, it wouldn't be at all fair for us to do it all for you.
So we need you to do the work, and we will help you when you get stuck. That doesn't mean we will give you a step by step solution you can hand in! Start by explaining where you are at the moment, and what the next step in the process is. Then tell us what you have tried to get that next step working, and what happened when you did."
But since this isn't really a solution, but an offering for the user to revisit their thought process, this is best posted as a comment.
Also, if in a lot of these cases, these users don't seem to re-think anything, and the question doesn't get answered, just report the question and it will be removed in time.

Just something for you to check into:
So just after I replied to you I got hit again. Since it was -16, you may wish to check if was the same user, and if so, how they can do it twice to the same Answer posting.
Other than that, I'll try to take both of the above into consideration. A boilerplate is really useful - can be more detailed without burden, and put in as a comment (although I'll never reach 2x107 points that way*).

This is the second time I saw it. The first case was here: State Machine Framework in C, but now this problem is fixed, as I thought, by the author himself.
Later, I decided to try it out myself, as I had a suitable GitHub project, as a way to integrate all existing and future CodeProject publications on this project. I reproduced this problem on the project I posted: Microtonal Fabric. At the moment of writing, those two links are manually removed by editing the CodeProject article, but, naturally, they will appear again on the push from GitHub.
