While many of us may immediately think of the "goto considered harmful" meme hearing his name, his boundary-crossing contributions to the evolution of modern programming as a discipline, and to many key aspects of algorithms, distributed computing, etc. are remarkable.

I had come across that quote before. My main takeaway has always been that, yes, if you don't know how to use the tools of your trade, you're going to be a rather poor tradesman indeed.
Which I'm sure isn't what Dijkstra was trying to convey at all.

At first I had opened the page with IE. It showed no issue, and no amount of searching returned anything.
(yes, it's still the default browser on the Win7 VM I use to browse my RSS feeds--which is how I browse the CP lounge).
I thought they're either not using it, or they've made a lot of progress while I wasn't looking...
Then I reloaded the page with Edge. Made me wish I could return to IE and pretend it reflected its true state.
