I have a software variation of it, called MouseJiggler. It requires no install and does the same, also with the option of not actually moving the cursor but tricking the system.
I used it when I was working from home from my personal PC (strictly forbidden but it was the only one I could use sensible software with) and didn't want to appear inactive on Teams.

Seems a little overkill to me, going the hardware way.
I also have trouble with my OS logging out extremely often, and no setting in the registry has been able to prevent that.
So I wrote a small utility program that can keep the system from logging out. Took very little time and works like a charm.

For those of you who are "I would change employment" Sure but not everyone is in that situation. Also, In previous employer I couldn't change registry settings etc. and "Teams" said I was away after 5minutes and that wasn't overridable either. I didn't really want to change at that point but some people like to keep track of others. Sooo, I wrote this little script.
It was very annoying to have someone say. Well it looked like you were away from your desk so I didn't try to contact him. To my boss. (They weren't actually wanting to contact me they just wanted to blame me).
Anyway, everyone is in a different situation.

true, that is hard. I was lucky, I was in a group that was allowed to be an admin on my own machine. Also, I could justify autohotkey because it made alot of my jobs much easier to do.

If you ever had kids, you might have an old vibrating baby bouncer sitting around.
Just sit the mouse in it turn the vibration on.
This can be used in secure environments that might block the USB that SouthMountain highlighted.
I never used the vibration feature on my baby, it seemed like it would scramble her brain.

Yeah, that's amazing! You can see the the wood grain and knots in the timbers in some of the pics; that's how well preserved it is.
Raise it, treat it, stick it in a museum....but, part of me thinks it should stay where it is at.

I read this book (Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage[^]) a few years ago as a way to relax in the evenings.
It is an amazing story of Shackleton & Company's experience.
The boat initially got stuck in the ice & as the ice shifted it crushed the ship (it took a number of days for this to happen -- and the crew stayed on the ship as long as they could).
The book is written really clearly & tells a very compelling story. Check it out if you get a chance.

Not long ago I read the book Endurance, fantastic story and now to see they've found the wreck and so well preserved is a great ending to the story.
The less you need, the more you have.

I meant to say I read "Shackleton's Boat Journey" by Frank Worsley. It was the lead up to "Endurance". He was the Captain of the Endurance. He was not your ordinary sea Captain. He and Shackleton, together, were a very tough and determined team.
