It wasn't the PR that didn't compile, but my attempt at using it.

It's a library. But they've changed the API and haven't documented the changes yet so I can't use it.

The previous way of using it does not compile.

Reminds me of the Java 1 to Java 2 update, sometime in 1997/98. From what I remember, Java 2 made sure that most of Java 1 code did not work. That was the time I learnt a new word - 'deprecated'. There was so much frustration in my office at that time.

I have created many interfaces to non-trivial systems. I have just gotten used to it.

I remember one case where the certification problem for a credit card processor was settled between two of their techs (not me) by one of them declaring that the account was theirs so I would just need to follow what they said and not the other tech.

I didn't find John Wick 2 to be that interesting. Some dude going around killing people without much of a story. No way I would watch any more. I'm surprised so many people find it good. Glad you liked it, but not for me.

If you watch Wick 2 without the context of Wick 1, it is what it is. I "liked" that it included the host of Iron Chef as a super villian ... or was that Wick 3?

I saw the first one and then the second one. The first one was unique if not slightly over the top. By the time I was most of the way through the second one, it felt like college kids trying to consume more cans of beer than the next. John Wick 2 had the feel of: lets double the body count to make up for a weak script. I figured the third and fourth would be more of the same and decided to spend my time elsewhere.

i was disappointed . same ol' same ol' w/ several illogical plot elements i do not at this moment recall . two nice little plot elements i did enjoy though i also do not at this moment recall except the surprise at the final duel .

It was a "demonstration". It included visuals and stunts not seen in previous versions or "other" movies. More "characters". "Liking" or not liking are acts of the will.

Of course being picky (and when are we ever not picky?) the clue should refer to Christmas visitors, "magi" being the plural of "magus". But yes, a nice clue! Smile | :)
