This is in particularly poor taste. You do not know if anyone reading this has lost a loved one to a vehicle that mounted a curb. Such attempts at humor are quite likely to retraumatize, possibly triggering a PTSD event. Stop trying to be funny. So far, speaking for myself, its just been annoying.

Anything could trigger something in someone. Where do you suppose we draw the line? Is it up to you to determine if someone is triggered, or not? Let's ask everyone, here. Are any of you triggered by my post into a psychotic episode? Does this mean we should avoid all humor whatsoever, just because you're worried about triggering someone? Who are you to condemn free speech?

I have a good idea. Maybe you should relax, and quit taking yourself so seriously. If you don't think its funny, no one else cares. I'm not going to ask for your opinion on what's funny, and what's not. Do I need your permission in order to post something?

It's not my fault that you didn't adequately communicate what you wanted to say.
When communicating via text, keep in mind that most of what you are communicating
is lost. No one can see your body language. No one can hear the tone of voice you're speaking in.
I shouldn't have to teach you this. Perhaps if you were to think before you post something,
you'd be better able to communicate what you have to say. Please consider that.

I think a lot of people here are forgetting the fundamental thing about a joke: the subject of the joke is very rarely the actual target of the joke. If people are offended (whatever that means?) don't ever watch Ricky Gervais' Armageddon show!

Actually, I don't really notice them. I'd say they're more of an inconvenience that I accept to be something I must live with. If I don't want to plow over a curb, I steer over to the far lane into oncoming traffic. Fire hydrants have caused me some difficulty. I try and avoid them whenever I can. I think you'd be surprised by how many other people drive on the sidewalk, too. Your choice of direction is arbitrary, so you have to think fast when you encounter someone coming at you head-on. It is what it is, and I can't change that.
