We also dont have rights to 'install' new programs. I was not able to make a ftp connection with my server, that needs user name/password to login. Theres a directory one too: System.IO.Directory If you are on a web platform (i.e ASP.NET) you will need to make sure that you have the relevant priviliges for the ASP.NET user account on the directory. The System.IO.File class is relevant to all .NET languages. I use one for a tab. The tab has 2 images, one for on state and one for off state. I need an additional state...a dead state for the selected tab. Google on ASP or PHP for examples, or check out the beginner stuff on this site. CodeProject has several good articles on data access, but you'll need to study quite a few of them to get a solid understanding of the process. A good one to begin with is Chris Maunder's article on accessing MS Access databases using ADO[^]. It's far from complete, but a good start.
