When I use a breakpoint to simulate my program, I have no problems with the result. But as I run directly the program I haven't the result I hope for. So my idea is to make a pause as my breakpoint does in simulation mode. So I try to find something that can replace my breakpoint...

I am assuming you are using MFC. Use SetIcon function to set icon of the dialog box. For e.g.:

Hello
I am having two arrays of a object.
I got fixed up in finding the solution for following problem.
Array 1 holds value for the following cordinates
1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 10
Array 2 can be any different situation, from above say like
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
In the object stored into the array element, there is one value "Height". Now i want to assign height in following fashion. This is done to make the previously assigned height in array1 to remain intact in a order of their coming in row.
A1 -> A2
1 1
2 2
3 3
6 4
7 5
8 6
i.e. If any addition point is there in a row then leave that additional point like 4,5 in array1 and similarly if rows are more than also leave it.
NOTE
Both Array1 and Array2 are one dimensional array, but the logical position/location of values stored in it is like this. So this is to give an idea that with this type and any similar cases (where rows and points per row increases or decreases) , how the value is to be assigned.
So main aim is to assign the array element shown in above and below example based on following mentioned logical positioning of the points.
NOTE: Well number of rows and points per rows in both case is provided.
Other example can be like this:

1 2 3 4 5

Hello in short and sweet
I am having a case like this:
Design is having Number of rows and Points per row
(This are editable)
Well user set the values for Number of rows say 4 and points per row 10 then system will make 40 objects and will store them the CObArray mentioned above.
Assigned with each object is an ObjectID say 0,1,2,....,39.
So above is the case when user mention all of the data provided and system stores them to CObArray
NOW if user changes the NUMBER OF ROWS or POINTS PER ROW or both. say 3 and 12 ,then system has to take it into consideration and has to restore the previous rowwise data back to the new one.
That is main theme and based on this only is my above query.

Hi, how to set form/control width and height in VC++ IDE or in code? I mean, if i want it
to be exactly 100x200pixels, how do i do that in the IDE or by code? Is there anything similar to Visual Basic?
I have a simple program that adds two numbers in array using MMX (inline assembly), the program works fine, the code as shown below,
The result on screen is :

which is correct,
however, if i change the line

Hello,
I'm building a graphic editor for a midi sequencer application. The problem I have is that when I add notes to the screen(by using bitmaps)and resize or in general cause the screen to be redrawn I lose all my added bitmaps. I tried using a double-buffer but I can't make it work with bitmaps since I cannot add bitmaps to the off-sreen bitmap. Is the only sollution to draw all notes using lines and ellipses and save them to the off-screen bitmap for outputting? I thought of using a bitmap array as a grid with all the possible notes but that doesn't seem right...Anyone that has a sollution to this problem would really help
I got 10 days left to hand in my project...

hm.. I don't realy understand the problem, because your description is not very clear... but... you must collect the "view" of your data in some kind of array (tree or something like this) and in the Paint method you have to iterate the array (or tree) and bring the Items on the screen. when you add some "note" , you add it to the array and on the next repait it is shown on the screen.
DoubleBuffering is realy nice to avoid flickering.
you paint all the notes in the background and then flip it to the foreground.

I dont understand why Im getting this problem, because the code works fine in VC6, but when i use VC7, i get a whole range of errors, Im trying to connect to WMI, so I go through the usual steps, 1: CoInitializeSecurity, 2: CoCreateInstance, 3: ConnectServer, 4: CoSetProxyBlanket.
However when I build I get:
error C3861: 'CoInitializeSecurity': identifier not found, even with argument-dependent lookup.
&
error C3861: 'CoSetProxyBlanket': identifier not found, even with argument-dependent lookup
are both these functions using different libs or headers from the other two, Ive looked at the MSDN, and the FAQ, but I cant make sense of either.
Im also getting some wierd errors in my header file:
error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before '*'
error C2501: 'WmiWrapper::IWbemServices' : missing storage-class or type specifiers
Im possitive there is no syntax error like missing ';' or anything like that.

I got rid of the small weird errors in the header file but if anyone knows about header files that are used in VC7 that are not used in VC6, as regards WMI, then please let me know. The headers im using so far are:

#include wbemidl.h
#include windows.h
#include objbase.h
#include wbemcli.h
#include comdef.h
#include tchar.h
#include stdio.h
Some of these may even be sitting there doing nothing, According to the MSDN both functions that are giving me problems (CoInitializeSecurity & CoSetProxyBlanket) are in "objbase.h" and use "ole32.lib", and I have referenced both.

You should be using #include <windows.h> for any Windows features, including COM. It needs to appear before any other Windows-related includes. windows.h includes a whole load of other include files; you can speed up compiles quite a bit by using pre-compiled headers. It may be that you haven't copied your stdafx.h from your VC6 project.
objbase.h is included by ole2.h in the Platform SDK that ships with Visual Studio .NET 2003. However, ole2.h is not included if you define NOGDI unless you also define INC_OLE2.
The C2143 error often occurs if a type isn't declared; the compiler assumes you were trying to define a variable with that name instead. The '*' is then illegal at that position, so it assumes a missing semicolon.

Im already using #include <windows.h> and if I use precompiled headers then I get:
fatal error C1010: unexpected end of file while looking for precompiled header directive.
and the advice for this was "not to use precompiled headers" which gave me the problems I have now,
Also, What can I do to get rid of:
error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _CLSID_WbemAdministrativeLocator
_CLSID_WbemAdministrativeLocator should be a default value in the function CoCreateInstance.
The code used looks like:

OK, if you decide to use precompiled headers, you need to either #include your precompiled header file in each source file, use a #pragma hdrstop directive, or disable pre-compiled headers for that file (in which case you should include any headers that you need for that source file).
I can't see why CoCreateInstance would still be undefined if you've included both windows.h and objbase.h. Have you defined _OBJBASE_H_ somewhere?
You could try using the /showIncludes option to the compiler to show which files are actually being included. I'm not sure if this option was available in VS.NET 2002. If objbase.h is definitely being included, try using the /P option (with /C to preserve comments) to generate a pre-processed output and check whether the declarations are being output.
As for your other problem, you need to provide a definition as well as a declaration for your GUIDs. For WMI, you can simply link to wbemuuid.lib.

Hello,
I wrote applications that suppose to open automatically by the auto
play mechanism of the WinXP, I entered the correct values to the
registry and the application start ok.
The problem I have is that I get a message box with error every time:
