Visual C++ 6 editor help us to complete our Code by showing some useful data in Tooltip such as "Auto Type Info" or "Code Comments".
This option by default enabled in Tools->Option->Editor->"Statement Completion Option".
Some "Code Comments" has more than one comments.
e.g: "[1 of 3] void CMyClass::_MyOverloadedFunc(...);" will displayed in Tooltip.
We can switch between them by clicking on it by mouse.
So, How can I switch between "Code Comments" by keyboard!?

Hi now a days i am developing a news ticker , just like one we could see on news channels at bottom a strip in which Text and logos scrolls from right to left.
i have succeeded in scrolling the text , but i am feeling difficulty in scrolling logos or image alongwith text.
so can anybody give some hint how to do it , or article abut such news ticker.
even i dont mind to buy some news ticker component or stuff but i am not able to find one.

Is there any API for getting memory usage of loaded windows kernel (.sys) driver.
I can get list of loaded drivers using EnumDeviceDrivers() API.

HI..
Can u tell me How to get Cookies from sever, I'm sending request via Internet Explorer then it set Cookies, but when I send Request via my program then It Don't send Cookie.

I tried everything but it doesn't work.
I even posted this question to the author of its malloc replacement, Lea Dough.
But my question is more windows related so he cannot answer me.
At the same time I know that somebody here has been able to do it.
Here is the list of what I did and of what some related question.
But really what matter is that somebody is telling me how to do it.
I am building a program build on top of other dynamic libraries. Everything using STLport.

If I #include malloc.h then I have compilers problem ( probably because the library is using precompiled headers ) like:
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET\Vc7\include\stdlib.h(291): error C2375: 'malloc' : redefinition; different linkage
If I do not #include malloc.h then it compiles but at the end it is not using the malloc of Lea.
I would like not to use detour.
I don't think is a good idea to replace malloc.c malloc.h in the Visual Studio .NET\Vc7\include directory
Can somebody help me ?

You should use special console functions (see
Platform SDK-> DLLs, Processes, and Threads-> Console Reference in MSDN). The functions like GetDC, MoveToEx, LineTo can't be applied to this situation.

MFC6 has the CHtmlView class and like most classes in MFC using visual studio you can quickly add an handler for the events fired by the IWebBrowser2 actually according to MSDN (AFAIK)
it's the WebBrowser...cuz IWebBrowser2 doesn't seem to have events 
BEGIN_EVENTSINK_MAP(CHtmlView, CFormView)
ON_EVENT(CHtmlView, AFX_IDW_PANE_FIRST, 104 , OnDownloadComplete, VTS_BSTR)
END_EVENTSINK_MAP()
Then in your derived CHtmlView class you override a virtual function OnDownloadComplete and voila you now have the ability to tell when a document has been fully loaded.
How does MFC accomplish this task of event sinking, etc all with a couple of macros? I looked at the macros and I couldn't make anything of them 
Basically I want to use this same technique, but on a different interface...so I can avoid all the mumbo jumbo that goes along with capturing events sent from IHTMLDocument2, etc...

I'm wondering why I am not able to mouse over a variable in VS.NET while in debug mode and get the value of the variable. Instead I get the variable declaration information.
Also, when I make a change in debug mode, VS.NET doesn't recompile and run the application with the new code in place. Instead I have to stop the debugger and start it over again.
Is there something in VS.NET where I set preferences to make this work or is there something I should have installed? I guess I'm just wondering what I'm missing.

But I noticed that you "get the value of the variable. Instead I get the variable declaration information.
" when the variable is nto valid at that moment, like a NULL pointer.
For the second, look for the edit and continue compiler option and look also for the conditions when this is disabled.

I've been on the project that using CSocket to send file from client to server. When i test the program, only part of data send through CSocket(about one third of the original data). I use CSocket as a SOCK_STREAM. Can anyone figure out the problem on my code?

Hi,
Why dont u try using out an acknowledgement mechanism. That is whenever the client is sending data to the server, the server should send acknowledgement for the data. In case the client does not receive the acknowledgement for a certain period of time, then the client resends the same data.

i tried to send 34kb through one send() function and only 8kb go through.
Another way around it is to divide the file to several small chunks of 8kb.
But i got stuck there. Could anyone give me idea how to do it

I've written an ISO 9660 burner application, which works, but after I burn a disk I need to eject and reinsert the disk before windows sees the new files. How do I tell windows to reload the filesystem?
I've found SHChangeNotify which seems like what I should use, but no combonation of option does anything that I can see.
SHChagneNotify(SHCNE_ALLEVENTS,SHCNF_PATH,zdDrive,NULL);
seems like it should be overkill but it doens't work. Lesser options don't work. In particular sending media removed then media inserted didn't work. Nor did various updateItem combonations.
Am I on the wrong track? Are there other options I should give?
I also send a message to explorer, which seems like it might be working (the window closes when I send a media removed), but the contents don't change when I look. Nor does a dir at the command prompt get anything.

I don't think my boss would agree to sharing our source code, which makes an artical less interesting. Although we did agree that we should write a book on how to do this.
Writing a CD is easy enough, but keeping track of each different option for each different media can be a pain (CD-R, CD-RW which might be MRW formatted, DVD-R, DVD-RW either sequential recording or restricted overright, DVD-RAM, DVD+R, and DVD+RW) There is no model that is common between all of the above. I did not use all the possible modes, so I'm not sure how to use them all.
If you think there is a useful artical here I'll write it (but no source code will be included!)
