If you can use PHP or ASP, then it's obviously much better to build the array of files and output them as an JScript array. The fileSize attribute should return the size in bytes of the file. If it doesn't, then something went wrong (i think) One thing I do remember, is the IMG tag must NOT have it's dimensions set explicitly and I don't think it can be invisible. Kinda. In your database, make columns for day of the month, month of the year, and year. If you are specifying time as well, add a column or two for that. Each note you want to post is its own record as opposed to having all the notes for that day or whatever in one record. It makes it a lot easier that way. Then in JSP, figure out how you want them grouped, whether by day or whatever and design your query to gather everything for that group based on day, month, year, and time. I created a small web application and rather than using VCS (version control software), I simply created different folders as I made changes to the web application. I ended up with a series of folders such as WebApp1, WebApp2 etc. This simple approach was working fine and was storing the different versions, until today. Now every folder contains the same code. I think this may have happened because I opened up two versions accidentally in VS. Is there a way that I can simply use folders and make sure that they do not all change as I change code in another? Cheers, J problem with hiding an HTML Table's Column Hercules19824-Dec-04 11:45 Hercules1982 4-Dec-04 11:45  hi all, i have this problem, i'm creating a control from the HTML Table element: * I need to hide columns and show others based on client demand. * Sure i want to do all this on the CLient-Side. * I do this by hiding all the cells for the required column using the "style.display = 'none'" code. * The above code works fine but when the column contains lets say about 100 cells or even much more this process take a very long time may be a minute so imagin that i need to hide more than one column. * I think the problem is with the rendring time that is spent on hiding each cell and render then hide a cell and rerender. * What i think that i need is a way to stop rendring until i set all the cells to the style.display = 'none' then render only once. * This method is well known in languages like C++ and C# and many others but i don't know if its available in JavaScript. if anyone know how to sole such a problem please help. thanks for reading.
