plz i need help to convert my image to grayscale using c code , I used opencv but I want to store image to 2-D or 3-D array not into mat .

Here my favourite article CXImage which does a lot of image manipulation. You may find not only what you search but also what you need.

thank you ,but there is no way in c without using any libraries ?
