Hello,
Can someone help me resolve this Error 1 The required ActiveSync proxy ports are not registered. Please launch Visual Studio in elevated administrator mode once to register this. Device Connectivity Component.

I am running VS2008 on Windows 10, my project is running by when I try to debug by connecting to the device the error shows up. The device connects to Windows Mobile Device Center

I tried, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. Can you tell me the process?

Right-click on the Visual Studio icon and select "Run as administrator".

If the icon is on the task bar, you might get a menu with a list of recently used documents. If so, right-click again on the icon in that menu to get the "run as administrator" option.

Thanks Richards, that works!! Its a pain trying to r-setup the VS2008 environment . now I cannot communicate with the device although windows mobile device center is running and communicating to the device.
