Bar Code Related query

Hi Folks!!!

I have a query related to Bar Code generation. Can any one tell me whats the difference between EAN13 and JAN 13. I am working on a project which needs JAN13 implementation. I have found samples for EAN 13 and according to my observation I have found no difference in between them.

Please tell me if there is any difference between them...

Effectively the same, but 2 digits for Number System or Country Code which MUST BE 49 or 45 to identify Japan
