How to prevent - Win 8 lock screen stops timer

Hi,

I have one C# application which have two timers.
In this application one monitor utility is present. This utility read parameters from connected device at selected sampling rate.
But when screen locked then that monitor timer stops and monitor work failed.

How to run timer on lock screen also (Win 8).
Or how to prevent lock screen if application is running

Please Help.

Try use the PeriodicTask instead. Or ResourceIntensiveTask if needed.
