How to mark as read an email in Exchange server

HI, I am developing a c# application that moves an email from inbox to an other folder, after that email must be marked as read, i am able to move it but i am unable to find how to mark that email as read. can any guide me here.

I've done that with a VBA script from an Outlook rule, but not otherwise. Would a rule do what you want?
