Detect USB Connection (VID & PID) C#

I want to detect the usb devices connected to my pc through my C# application. I have tried using libusbdotnet www.sourceforge.net/projects/libusbdotnet.com but it doesn't show that any devices are even connected. How can I detect a usb connection or further more, the vendor ID or Product Id of a connected usb device?
