How can I learn which network interface is active?

In our job we are changing our client's dns and Ip adresses by using Teamviewer.
Sometimes theirs Internet connection get an error. Our connection has lost.
They can't fix their dns settings. Like choosing. "Obtain Ip adress automatically."

I want to do it with program. And if connection lost. I want to create restore point. Customer will click this button to reset IP and dns
