Hello everyone, it's Mitsos.

I am studying Java , the past 2 years (OOP,Intro to Programming,Data Structures.). But i've been wondering, when does someone really KNOW Java?

What should a java developer know? What does Java contain (Frameworks?,etc).

Is it worth doing Java instead of C++, or any other Object Oriented Programming Language?

I would be happy if you could help me cause i'm in my 3rd Semester and im really struggling to plan my work (practise) as a programmer.

Choose a language, study it, and stick to it. There is no substitute for study and practice.

This is the Quick Answers section and what you really need is more of a discussion. I'd suggest posting this in the Java discussion group, Java Discussion Boards - CodeProject[^]

As I understand it, there's still lots of jobs using Java so keep at it and don't give up. But it's also worthwhile to learn C# if you can.
