How to conect from a web service to an local database.

Hello,

I have 18 machines with local database (access database), I want to search from one machine in the database of the remaining 17 machines using web service.

Can you give me some starting points how to do that?

Or how to use a replication tool or a synchronization tool. I need to have all 18 database online an a local database individual.

What I have tried:

I now haw to create a web service, and search to a specific database.

Solution 1

You can't do that, for a large list of reasons that I will not go into here.

You simply have found where you should NOT be using an Access database local to each client and should be using a central SQL Server database.
