Hi,

I have little experience in handling API's but we now have a third party application running on an Oracle database that has been upgraded to make API's available.

I am looking for guidance on building an application that will allow me to consume or use the third party application API please. Can anyone give me some URL's to some tutorials or quick start guides please. I did some Java years ago so perhaps something in Java or even .NET

Is consuming an API the same as consuming a web service?

Thanks in advance

What I have tried:

Tried googling "consuming and API" but most links are for building an API

This is the question about nothing. The whole expression "consume an application" sounds absurd. What would it possibly mean?

Hi Sergey. My text of "consume or use the third party application API" I mean basically - to create a java or .Net application that will USE an API that is available in another application?

What is "API in application"? I don't say it's impossible; one example is plug-in API, but plug-ins are not reduced to "use". It's just not the normal application role.
