How do I catch any events of popup when it closes?

As it is in title, I do know the events of closing of popup windows .
What is the name of event and where can I get the event of close or destroy of child popup windows....

As it seems so simple but I could not found any informations of that.

Pop-up — in what kind of UI? Please, your OS, UI library/framework you are using, exact concept of "pop-up" (there are several slightly different meanings of this term), show how you show such "pop-up".
