Hi,

We have 2 database servers in offshore(India), that provides high availability using mirroring. Now we are planning to have 2 database servers in onshore (US) for geographical load balancing, that should also provide high availability. And both offshore and onshore database servers should be synchronized using Merge Replication. Can you please suggest what would be the best option ?. Each database servers are standalone servers with own storage. Can this be done using clustering?. Our servers are Sql server 2008 R2.

What I have tried:

We tried mirror concept and failed since merge replication won't support for high availability in the subscriber side.
