Deleted icon but icon still there on page

Hello there I added a icon to my html source and it showed but when I deleted it it is still there this is what I had

HTML

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://crunchman.info/RC7.ico" />

but when i deleted that text it is still up there here is a link to my site [DELETED]

What I have tried:

I tried deleting the text but it stays up there

Do not post links to your site: it's considered as "site driving spam" and will get your account closed and you banned from the site.
In this case, I've let it through and removed the link - but other moderators are not so forgiving and your account may not survive if you do it again.

Oh I see then your whats the point in html help if you cant post your site for people to help what a waste

You should be able to describe your problem, and paste the relevant parts of your code, without requiring the reader to visit your site to see it.

If you need to provide a demo of the problem, you can create a simple version in a site like JSFiddle[^], and link to that.

In this case, you've already described the problem. A link to your site wouldn't add anything to that.

Your browser has cached the shortcut icon.

If you want to replace it, you'll need to provide a new icon. The easiest option is to use a tool to generate the files and markup you need - for example, Favicon Generator[^].

If you want to remove it, you'll need to clear your browser's cache. However, if other users have accessed your site whilst the icon was present, they will also need to clear their cache to get rid of the icon.
