RDLC export to excel as .xlsx format

Hi, I have a report using RDLC as design to generate report. In my RDLC by default has an option to export my generated report into excel file where it is in .xls format.
But due to limitations of .xls file I would need to upgrade into .xlsx format.
I have searched online for any article that would helps in achieving this. Some are those changing property/configuration from EXCEL into EXCELOPENXML but I am quite curious as where I should change this as my codes does not have this section.

Could there be any article that could help me in achieving my goal?
