C# get the shared folder access for local group users without logoff/reboot

Hi,

I have created a local group and given permissions to shared path. when adding new user to local group, the user not able to access the shared path it requires logoff/reboot. how to get immediate access with out reboot.

Thank you!

What I have tried:

gpupdate /force also not working to get access immediately.

I suppose that would be Operating System dependant.

Solution 1

You can't. By creating a new group and adding a user to it, you're altering an access token, which will only refresh to pickup the new information after they logoff and back on again.
