Hi
I have a class project and need solution.

The problem is:

I have to take user preference for software settings as input.
And according to the input apply those input for setting in another software such as MS Office, Powerpoint, etc.

I need code how to explicitly do that .

Can you help me.

Thanks

Many ways to archive that.
If I have caught your question, you could use XML, register table, .ini file ,little database, ....

And why do you want to do that? To make your application "one for all" ?

This may work for particular version of target software, but not the other. Better let user control those settings for those software applications.

If you want to make it portable, you will need to use either an ini file for you config, which you can then copy to another machine, or store these user settings in a database. It should, however, be possible to connect to this database from any machine the user is going to use.

What settings are you talking about? Can you be more explicit.

Atleast give samples of your user preference.
