How can I get jobs at top 4 software companies without campus placements?

Hey I am a 1 year college student in computer science in my current college the placements are not that good and i want to work at top 4 software companies like google,Facebook etc . So is there any other way to get a job at these companies without college placements and what are the main things that these companies look in a job applicant so i can master them in my future engineering years?

And that is the reality. The only way to make yourself marketable to employers is to spend time learning the skills that they require, and gaining experience in practical terms. There are no shortcuts. And the only way to find out in detail what they require is to apply to them in person.
