How to receive local database info with actionscript 3

So i am trying to learn C# and ActionScript 3. Im trying to create a local database and have C# send data and have Actionscript 3 receive it and display it in flash. I have looked all over the place but haven't found anything exactly like this so what can I do?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
