Can not play mp3 in mozilla without installation of plugin

The machine has quicktime player installed on it. My website has mp3 files and I use embed tag of html5 to play it. I bulid it by setting firefox as default browser and when it runs in firefox it asks for installation of plugin for each page which has embed tag. I want the solution to set the quicktime player to be default for each page which has embed tag.

As you're trying to embed the mp3 file in the page FireFox requires a plug-in be installed so that it can play the file, just because the QuickTime player is installed doesn't mean the plug-in that FireFox needs was installed.

Read this to make sure you have the embed tag correct[^] and allow FireFox to install the plug-in it needs to play the file.
