Firefox 4 Split MenuItem

Is there a tutorial or article somewhere about how to do a firefox 4 style menu with the split MenuItem? For instance, Firefox 4 has a New Tab menu item that will create a new tab when clicked, but you may also click an arrow to get more options. Another instance is the Firefox 4 zoom menu (similar to Chrome's). Any links would be appreciated :) Here ^is an image of the menu.

I do not know about a 'Split Menu' but there are several 'Split Button' controls around. This[^] is just one of them. Maybe you can use some of the techniques from there to build your own.
