Take a look at this:
jQuery Effect demos[^]

It's not the full answer, but you should be headed in the right direction.

While you can always write the stuff yourself, building upon jQuery can save a lot of time and effort.

Solution 2

"I am feeling lucky" button simply takes you to first link of the search result.
For Google search engine, Google guys wrote this functionality on the button click. Internally they navigate the person to the first link of the search result.
